Outdoor Living & Flatwork in Austin, TX
Covered patios, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, driveways, and concrete slabs - built tough for Texas heat and done right the first time.

What We Build Outside
Built for Texas - Not for a Catalog
Central Texas outdoor living has to handle 100-degree summers, occasional hard freezes, and everything in between. The structures, materials, and details that work in a California backyard do not always work here. Diamond B builds outdoor spaces that are engineered for where they are actually going - and that starts with the concrete underneath.
Concrete flatwork looks simple until it cracks, heaves, or drains toward the house. The difference is in the prep - proper subgrade compaction, the right base depth, control joints placed correctly, and a mix design that accounts for Central Texas temperature swings.
Our most recent outdoor living project in Dripping Springs included a full covered patio structure, an outdoor kitchen with stone surround, and extensive concrete flatwork across a sloped Hill Country lot. Every element was coordinated through one scope - no separate concrete contractor, no separate framing crew to chase.
Whether you want a simple covered slab and a grill, a full outdoor kitchen and fireplace setup, or standalone driveway and patio concrete, we design and build it with permits and proper footings.

What Hill Country Outdoor Builds Require
Footings That Last
Pier and beam or spread footing systems sized for the structure and soil. Poured concrete, not stacked blocks.
Expansive Clay Soils
Austin-area clay swells when wet and shrinks when dry. Proper base depth and drainage design prevent movement.
Drainage First
Every flatwork and structure design starts with where the water goes. Especially important on Hill Country slopes.
